  • Pro 3

The following procedure is only applicable to set up these particular cameras.

Step 1: Open the Secure App.

Step 2: Click on ‘Devices’.

Step 3: Click on the ‘+’ icon.

Step 4: Click on ‘Cameras’.

Step 5: Select ‘Ultra,’ ‘Pro,’ or ‘Essential’ based on the model you have.

Step 7: Select a SmartHub or Base Station from the available options.

Step 9: Press the Sync button on the camera and then click on ‘Continue’ in the app.

Step 10: Name the camera and then click on ‘Continue.’

3. Cameras without Base Station

The following cameras can be used without a Base Station or SmartHub:

  • Pro 4
  • Pro 5S
  • Essential wire-free camera

These are newer models that can be directly connected to Wi-Fi, and they store recorded videos on the cloud with a subscription. The following setup procedure is only applicable to the above-mentioned cameras. So, how to set up Arlo camera without base station?

Step 1: Open the Secure App.

Step 2: Click on ‘Devices’.

Step 9: On the camera, press and hold the Sync button for a few seconds and wait for the LED to turn Blue. Then click on ‘Continue.’

Step 10: A QR code will be displayed on the screen. Scan this code using your camera.

Step 11: When you hear a chime, click on ‘Continue.’

Step 12: Name the camera and then click on ‘Continue.’

Step 13: Mount the camera on its position and then click on ‘Continue.’ Tap on ‘Finish’ when done.
